Il Ceppo is for many a lesser known pipe brand, but many people have worked here. This company was founded in the late 70s by Giorgio Imperatori in the Italian Pesaro, the city where Mastro de Paja and Ser Jacopo also come from. There are also similarities in the designs. This former architect made very nice freehands for an affordable price. In 1995 he retires and since then the pipes are made by Franco Rossi and his sister Nadia. An interesting fact is that Massimo Palazzi, the founder of L'Anatra, worked until 1998.
